Day 9: Dov Reichmann led Southam College - 15th January
In partnership with Finham Park School.
For Day 9, the school had a timetable of activity across the curriculum on the day and an artwork project running. Southam College also shone a light at the school from 4pm on the day as part of their reflection on testimony and to announce their commitment and pledge of future action.
Please come back to see more work created from the campaign via the website and the school’s website.
"In Dov Reichmann’s name we pledge to share his testimony and have the right attitude to life. To respect other’s beliefs and enjoy life to the fullest by ensuring through our actions we continue to promote mutual respect and tolerance for all people of faiths, ethnicities and religions.
"We will ensure our ‘right’ attitude leads to the ‘right’ actions and will do this by bringing people together to share laughter and dance through a calendar of activities across the year."
Dov survived the Holocaust in hiding.
He experienced anti-Semitism at school and survived the Holocaust hiding in various places in Budapest such as the Budapest ghetto.
“It's just having the right kind of attitude to life and enjoying to the fullest as much as I can - dancing. And I hope I will be dancing a few more years.”
